The persecution of Alina Lipp, who has been exposing the crimes of powerful forces taking place in Donbass, reminds me of a recent comment by veteran American journalist Chris Hedges, writing about Julian Assange:
“He is being used to send a message — if you expose what we do we will destroy you.”
