Can’t recall where I heard this but I recall an economist recently arguing that there were only 4 US ‘industries’ that were/would be financially solvent: silicon valley, Hollywood, the Pentagon (i.e., military industrial complex) and finance (financial industry, insurance, real estate)….California is put on a pedestal as some state that is preeminent for its ‘leftism’ – but as Jimmy Dore points out, California as the most left of the US states, can’t even pass medicare/health care for all…..Clearly the US is long overdue for a new and genuine left/progressive movement-revolution.
