  1. I don’t agree. Russia’s army isn’t big enough and why would want a country that needs rebuilding from the good up that’s full nazis.

    1. I’m skeptical of this view as well. A future post of an interview with Mark Sleboda outlines the challenges of even taking over Odessa. And, yes, trying to occupy or absorb western Ukraine would be a nightmare.

      1. In 2024, deaths in Ukraine exceeded births by almost 3-1, and the number of births in 2024 was only a little more than a quarter of what there were in 1991, while there were almost 7 times as many births in Russia in 2024.

In 1991, the ratio of Russian births to Ukrainian births was 3-1.

Ukraine is being rendered demographically irrelevant.

      2. Which then probably is one option in the Western “playbook” for taking into consideration. You can keep the other bogged down without risking WWIII. duplicitously claiming “it´s Ukraine´s sovereign decision.”

  2. Bogging Russia down in taking over Ukraine would enable the neo-cons a means to bleed Russia like a stuck pig, without hopefully starting a nuclear, or even a conventional war with Russia.
