1. Mark’s comment that the purpose is to leave a barren and imbittered Ukraine to Russia is spot on. From his tone of voice, I also think he agrees this 2nd point may not be in the USA’s favor. It’s easier to make a case this time that Ukraine was sold out by the West, and a good education, in opposition to the fascist education that turned Ukraine in 20 years to Nazi path can turn it also into enemy of neo-liberals.
